Following the directives of federal government, the AJK government has decided to accumulate data of all the Madrassahs (seminaries) of Azad Kashmir.

AJK sources informed that the data would be for information purposes only, and there were no endeavors of any crackdown against these seminaries, except those involved in illegal activities.

The incharge of seminaries would be taken into full confidence over the issue, while scouring these 236 registered, and unlimited of unregistered seminaries belonging to various other sects.
